Peer Review Process

All authors submitting manuscripts to Ascendia: Journal of Economic and Business Advancement are required to complete a Statement of Ethical Compliance, available for download on the journal’s official website. This statement confirms the author’s adherence to ethical standards and research integrity. It is not a manuscript template; all submissions must strictly follow the journal’s Author Guidelines.

The editorial process begins with an initial screening conducted by the editorial team. This stage includes checking manuscript format, completeness of submission, plagiarism detection, and evaluating the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s focus on economics, management, accounting, and business, including areas such as economic policy, financial management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and organizational behavior.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are forwarded to the peer review stage. Ascendia employs a double-blind peer review system, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to promote fairness, objectivity, and confidentiality. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who evaluate the work based on the following criteria:

  • Originality, novelty, and contribution to the fields of economics, management, accounting, or business

  • Rigor and clarity of research design, theoretical or conceptual framework, and analytical methods

  • Coherence, logical organization, and clarity of presentation

  • Relevance to the aims, focus, and scope of the journal

Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial board may decide to:

  • Accept the manuscript

  • Request minor revisions

  • Request major revisions

  • Reject the manuscript

Authors required to revise their manuscripts will be given a specific timeframe to submit the revised version, along with a detailed response letter addressing each reviewer’s comment. The editorial team of Ascendia is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and efficiency throughout the peer review process. Authors may contact the editorial office at any time to request updates or clarification regarding the status of their submission.
