Author Guidelines

1. General Provisions
Ascendia: Journal of Economic and Business Advancement publishes original scholarly manuscripts in the broad fields of economics, management, accounting, and business. The journal welcomes research on topics such as economic policy, financial management, entrepreneurship, marketing, organizational behavior, strategic management, digital business, sustainable economic growth, and other relevant areas that contribute to the advancement of economic and business knowledge. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.

2. Submission Procedure
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS) platform. Authors are required to register before submission and must follow all instructions provided on the OJS portal.

3. Manuscript Format

  • Paper size: A4, single-column

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Line spacing: 1.15

  • Length: maximum 20 pages

  • Font: Times New Roman (11 pt for main text, tables, figures, and references; 12–14 pt for headings)

4. Title, Abstract, and Keywords

  • Title: maximum 12 words (English) / 14 words (Indonesian)

  • Author information: names without academic titles; include institutional affiliation and email address

  • Abstract: in both English and Indonesian (maximum 200 words), summarizing research background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions

  • Keywords: up to 5 keywords relevant to the research topic

5. Article Structure

  1. Introduction: presents background, research problems, objectives, and relevant literature review (15–20% of manuscript)

  2. Methodology: describes research design, data sources, population and sample, data collection, and analysis techniques (10–15% of manuscript)

  3. Results and Discussion: presents key findings, interpretation, and discussion in relation to theories and previous studies

  4. Conclusion: summarizes main findings, managerial or policy implications, and recommendations for future research

6. References

  • Follow APA Style (7th Edition) for in-text citations and reference list formatting

  • At least 80% of references should be from the last 10 years, prioritizing peer-reviewed journals, academic books, and credible scientific publications

  • The use of reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is strongly recommended

7. Review Articles
Review articles should include the following sections: Introduction, Theoretical or Conceptual Framework, Discussion, and Conclusion. They must demonstrate clear relevance to the development of economics, management, accounting, or business studies.

8. Checklist Before Submission
Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that:

  • The manuscript complies with these Author Guidelines

  • The work is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere

  • References are complete and formatted according to APA Style

  • Tables, figures, and illustrations are clear, properly numbered, and cited in the text

  • Permissions have been obtained for any third-party materials (if applicable)

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
