Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
Scripta Economica: Journal of Economics, Management, and Accounting recognizes the increasing application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in economic research, business analysis, management studies, accounting practices, and academic publishing. Authors are permitted to use AI-assisted tools solely as supportive instruments to enhance the research and manuscript preparation process.
AI tools may be utilized for activities such as language editing, grammar and academic writing improvement, translation assistance, reference management, data organization, statistical programming support, data visualization, financial modeling assistance, coding support, and other technical processes related to manuscript development. However, all economic interpretations, theoretical arguments, empirical analyses, research findings, conclusions, and ethical responsibilities remain entirely under the responsibility of the authors.
Authors must transparently disclose the use of AI technologies within the methodology section, acknowledgments, or a dedicated AI disclosure statement in the manuscript. The disclosure should clearly identify the AI tool used and explain its specific purpose, scope, and contribution to the research and manuscript preparation process.
AI systems, generative AI applications, or automated tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they are unable to assume responsibility for intellectual contributions, research accountability, originality, data accuracy, and compliance with publication ethics.
The editorial team of Scripta Economica: Journal of Economics, Management, and Accounting reserves the right to reject manuscripts containing fabricated data, inaccurate economic or financial information, manipulated figures or statistical results, undisclosed AI-generated content, plagiarism, or any other practices that violate research integrity and academic publication ethics.
Authors remain fully responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts present original scholarly contributions, maintain analytical transparency, comply with ethical research standards, and accurately represent the authors’ intellectual work in the fields of economics, management, and accounting.
