Author Guidelines

General Provisions

Scripta Economica: Journal of Economics, Management, and Accounting publishes original scientific manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under review elsewhere. The journal covers fields in economics, management, accounting, and related interdisciplinary studies that contribute to these domains.

Submission Procedure

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s OJS system:

General Manuscript Format

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Line spacing: 1.15

  • Maximum length: 20 pages

  • Layout: Single-column

  • Font: Times New Roman

    • 11 pt for main text

    • 10 pt for quotations and references

    • 12–14 pt for titles and subheadings

Title and Author Identity

  • Title: Max. 14 words (Indonesian) or 12 words (English)

  • Title font: Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, left-aligned

  • Author name: Without academic titles, 11 pt, bold

  • Affiliation and email: Required for each author, 9 pt, left-aligned

Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract must be written in both Indonesian and English

  • Maximum length: 200 words

  • Structure includes: background, objectives, methods, and main findings

  • Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt

  • Keywords: Max. 5, separated by commas (,)

Scientific Article Structure

  1. Introduction
    Background, research problems, objectives, and literature review (15–20% of the article).

  2. Research Methodology
    Research approach, location, time, subjects/objects, data collection techniques/tools, and analysis methods (10–15%).

  3. Findings and Discussion
    Core findings and their critical analysis, supported by recent and relevant literature.

  4. Conclusion and Implications
    Summary of findings and practical/theoretical implications, written narratively.

Citation and References

  • Use in-text citations only (no footnotes)

  • Follow latest APA Style

  • Reference Requirements:

    • At least 80% from the last 10 years

    • Prioritize academic journals, theses, dissertations, or research reports

  • Format:

    • Alphabetical order

    • Times New Roman, 10 pt

    • Line spacing: 1.15

    • Hanging indent: 0.5 cm

  • Use of reference managers (Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote) is strongly recommended

Review Articles

For literature review manuscripts, structure should include:

  • Introduction

  • Theoretical Framework (key theories and concepts)

  • Discussion (synthesis and critical analysis)

  • Conclusion and Recommendations

  • It complies with all Author Guidelines

  • It has not been published or submitted elsewhere

  • All references are accurate, complete, and follow APA style

  • All tables/figures are numbered, titled, and cited properly

  • Permissions are obtained for any copyrighted materials
