Screening for Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to Essentia: Journal of Medical Practice and Research, published by CV Scripta Intelektual Mandiri, must be original scholarly works and entirely free from all forms of plagiarism, including but not limited to verbatim copying, mosaic plagiarism, improper paraphrasing, and self-plagiarism.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their submissions do not contain:

  • Unattributed direct quotations

  • Paraphrased material without proper acknowledgment

  • Substantial duplication of previously published content, including their own work, without explicit citation or permission

As part of its strict commitment to academic integrity, the editorial board conducts plagiarism screening using advanced similarity detection tools (e.g., Turnitin). Any manuscript showing a high similarity index or clear evidence of academic misconduct will be immediately rejected prior to peer review.

Authors are strongly encouraged to pre-check their manuscripts with reliable plagiarism detection software and may submit a similarity report alongside their manuscript.

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript

  • Retraction of published articles

  • Formal notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions or relevant authorities

Essentia upholds a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism in any form and remains dedicated to safeguarding the credibility, originality, and ethical standards of medical and health sciences research.
