Peer Review Process

All authors submitting to Essentia: Journal of Medical Practice and Research are required to complete a Statement of Ethical Compliance, which can be downloaded from the official journal website. Please note that this document is not a manuscript template; all submissions must strictly adhere to the official manuscript format provided.

The editorial process begins with an initial screening by the editorial team, including a technical formatting check and a plagiarism review. Manuscripts that meet the basic requirements and fall within the journal’s focus and scope will proceed to the peer-review stage.

Essentia applies a double-blind peer review system, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain objectivity and fairness. Each manuscript will be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific rigor, methodological accuracy, and ethical compliance

  • Originality, novelty, and contribution to medical science or healthcare practice

  • Clarity of presentation and logical consistency

  • Relevance to the aims, focus, and scope of the journal

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial board will issue one of the following decisions: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. If revisions are requested, authors will be given a specific deadline to resubmit their revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response to the reviewers’ comments.

The editorial team is committed to ensuring transparency, fairness, and efficiency throughout the review process. Authors are welcome to contact the editorial office at any time for updates or clarification regarding their submission status.
