Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
Sanitas: Journal of Health, Medical, and Psychological Studies recognizes the increasing role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in supporting health research, medical studies, psychological investigations, public health analysis, and academic publishing. Authors are permitted to use AI-assisted tools only as supportive instruments to facilitate research activities and manuscript preparation while maintaining scientific validity, ethical responsibility, and research integrity.
AI tools may be utilized for purposes such as language editing, grammar improvement, translation assistance, reference organization, literature management, data visualization, statistical analysis support, coding assistance, qualitative data analysis support, health data organization, psychological assessment documentation support, and manuscript preparation. However, all clinical interpretations, psychological analyses, health-related conclusions, research findings, methodological decisions, and ethical responsibilities remain entirely under the responsibility of the authors.
Authors must transparently disclose the use of AI technologies within the methodology section, acknowledgments, or a dedicated AI disclosure statement in the manuscript. The disclosure should clearly identify the AI tool used and explain its specific purpose, scope, and contribution to the research process, including any assistance related to data analysis, literature synthesis, or manuscript development.
AI systems, generative AI tools, or automated technologies cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for scientific accuracy, clinical or psychological judgment, patient or participant protection, research originality, data integrity, or compliance with health research ethics.
The editorial team of Sanitas: Journal of Health, Medical, and Psychological Studies reserves the right to reject manuscripts containing fabricated health or psychological data, manipulated medical or research images, inaccurate clinical information, undisclosed AI-generated content, violations of participant confidentiality, unethical handling of human subjects, or any practices that violate research integrity and publication ethics.
Authors remain fully responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts represent original scientific contributions, comply with applicable health and psychological research ethics, protect participant rights and confidentiality, maintain transparency in research methods, and accurately reflect the authors’ intellectual work in health, medical, and psychological studies.
