Peer Review Process

All authors submitting manuscripts to Vivaterra: Journal of Nature, Plants, and Animals Studies are required to complete a Statement of Ethical Compliance, available for download on the journal’s official website. This document confirms adherence to ethical standards and is not a manuscript template; all submissions must follow the journal’s official manuscript guidelines.

Editorial Workflow

The editorial workflow begins with an initial screening by the editorial team. This includes checks for:

  • Manuscript formatting and completeness

  • Plagiarism and originality

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope (natural sciences: agriculture, marine and aquatic sciences, space studies, zoology, botany, ecology, and related fields)

Manuscripts meeting these criteria are forwarded for peer review.

Peer Review Process

Vivaterra employs a double-blind peer review system, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure fairness and objectivity. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers using the following criteria:

  • Originality, novelty, and contribution to the fields of natural sciences

  • Rigor and clarity of methodology, theoretical or conceptual framework, or analytical approach

  • Logical structure, coherence, and clarity of writing

  • Relevance to the aims, focus, and scope of the journal

Editorial Decisions

Based on reviewers’ evaluations, the editorial board may decide to:

  • Accept the manuscript

  • Request minor revisions

  • Request major revisions

  • Reject the manuscript

Authors asked to revise their manuscript will receive a specific deadline to resubmit, along with a request for a detailed point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments.

Communication and Transparency

The editorial team of Vivaterra is committed to upholding transparency, fairness, and efficiency throughout the review process. Authors may contact the editorial office at any time for updates or clarifications regarding the status of their submission.
