Peer Review Process
All authors submitting manuscripts to Servitia: Journal of Community Service and Engagement are required to complete a Statement of Ethical Compliance, which can be downloaded from the journal’s official website. Please note that this document serves to confirm adherence to ethical standards and is not a manuscript template; all submissions must strictly follow the journal’s official manuscript guidelines.
The editorial workflow begins with an initial screening by the editorial team, including checks for formatting, completeness, and plagiarism. Manuscripts that meet these criteria and align with the journal’s focus on community service and engagement are then forwarded for peer review.
Servitia employs a double-blind peer review system, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to guarantee fairness and objectivity. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers based on the following criteria:
-
Rigor and clarity of methodology, ethical compliance, and reliability of data
-
Originality, novelty, and contribution to community service practice or social development
-
Coherence, logical presentation, and clarity of writing
-
Relevance to the aims, focus, and scope of the journal
Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editorial board may decide to accept the manuscript, request minor or major revisions, or reject it. Authors required to revise their manuscripts will receive a specific timeframe to submit the revised version along with a detailed point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments.
The editorial team of Servitia is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and efficiency throughout the review process. Authors may contact the editorial office at any time for updates or clarification regarding the status of their submission.
