Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy

Jurnal Sosial Humaniora dan Pendidikan: Scripta Humanika recognizes the increasing role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in supporting research activities, academic writing, and scholarly communication within the fields of social sciences, humanities, and education. Authors are permitted to utilize AI-assisted tools only as supportive instruments during the research and manuscript preparation process.

AI tools may be used for purposes such as language refinement, grammar and readability improvement, translation assistance, reference organization, data visualization, coding assistance, qualitative or quantitative data processing support, educational material development, and other forms of technical assistance related to manuscript preparation. However, all theoretical interpretations, academic arguments, research analyses, conclusions, and ethical responsibilities remain entirely under the responsibility of the authors.

Authors are required to transparently disclose the use of AI technologies in the manuscript through the methodology section, acknowledgments, or a dedicated AI disclosure statement. The disclosure must clearly identify the AI tool utilized and describe the specific purpose and extent of its application in the research and writing process.

AI systems, generative AI tools, or other automated technologies cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume intellectual responsibility, accountability for research integrity, originality, ethical considerations, or compliance with academic publication standards.

The editorial team of Scripta Humanika: Jurnal Sosial Humaniora dan Pendidikan maintains the right to reject manuscripts that contain fabricated information, inaccurate academic content, undisclosed excessive reliance on AI-generated materials, manipulated data or images, plagiarism, or any other practices that violate research integrity and publication ethics.

Authors remain fully responsible for ensuring that manuscripts submitted to Scripta Humanika represent original scholarly contributions, comply with ethical research principles, and reflect authentic academic work conducted by human researchers.
